Sneaker Talk
For Sneaker Talk, a personal brand built around sneaker culture and community, I created a visual identity with a retro-inspired vibe. The project centered on designing a playful mascot, bold typography, and a flexible design system that works across social media, merchandise, and digital content. My goal was to give the brand a look that feels both nostalgic and fresh. Something instantly recognizable and fun to engage with.
Goal
Sneaker Talk is a personal brand built around the passion for sneakers, their history, and the community that surrounds them. The goal was to design a visual identity with a retro-inspired vibe that feels fun, approachable, and instantly recognizable, while also working seamlessly across social media and merchandise.
Approach
The identity combines retro typography with a vibrant, playful mascot that brings personality and approachability to the brand. The logo uses bold lettering inspired by vintage design, while accents of punchy orange add energy and contrast. A supporting set of “ST” monograms and sticker-style assets expands the system, giving the brand flexibility across different platforms. The color palette blends retro softness with modern vibrancy, striking a balance between nostalgia and freshness.
Results
The final identity feels retro yet modern, playful yet versatile. It resonates with sneaker culture by tapping into nostalgia, while also standing out in today’s digital space. From social media content and packaging to apparel and stickers, Sneaker Talk now has a strong visual language that connects with its community and builds a memorable brand presence.
With its mix of retro-inspired typography, a fun mascot, and bold visuals, Sneaker Talk’s identity captures the culture of sneakers in a way that feels both nostalgic and fresh. The result is a playful brand system that works everywhere, from Instagram to merch, while building a recognizable and community-driven voice.
